Renew is hardware that is renewed by HP. This hardware may be used but looks as new and has been returned to HP. Renew products have been collected by HP and redistributed. W2 Renew hardware is HP-only and comes in a HP brown box with essential accessories. The difference with W1 is that the hardware may have had some broken parts exchanged or may have been used for a shorter time as demoequipment for example. This occurs when a product was Dead on Arrival (DOA) and was returned to the manufacturer. These products obviously have many advantages. One of them is that they are cheaper than new hardware and still have full manufacturer warranty.
